Today's mini-workshop was lovely! Thanks to all actors and parents who came out!

Today we got to dig a bit into text and mess around with "the force!"

One of the main questions tonight was about the schedule! Please note the following! Rehearsals and workshops will begin AFTER June 9th and will take into consideration the conflicts (jobs, summer school, vacations) etc when creating the precise schedule. We are aiming for weekday afternoons (mon-thurs) and will add weekend rehearsals if no other options work!

For those who are interested in participating in Hamlet this summer, this Tuesday, April 10th there will be a free workshop with Ms. Sarner and Amanda, followed by a brief informational meeting.

Students may arrive to the Tosa East Theatre between 3:30 and 4:30. Parent(s) may join at 6:30 for a brief informational meeting. PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] to reserve a spot.

Students age 14 and up are invited to attend. This is a great opportunity for incoming freshman to get to know other students in the program ahead of the start of the school year!

This year the Ganymede Ensemble is proud to announce that we are working in collaboration with the Tosa Rec Department!

We will present Hamlet, with thematic inspiration from the Star Wars Universe!

Here are some highlights and information about other changes as well!

INDOORS!: The performance this year will be indoors at Tosa East with the stage set up as an intimate studio setting!

CASTING: We have opened up the casting to all young men, women and individuals who would like to participate. We will maintain our open gender casting policy!

WORKSHOPS/COST: This year the cost to participate it $325 per student. This is higher than previous years. Participants will all take part in a series of four hour intensive theatre workshops. When the directors have offered these types of workshops before they were priced at $50 per workshop. Workshops will include: TABLEWORK TECHNIQUES, THOROUGH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, VIEWPOINTS, LECOQ METHOD, GENDER TRANSFORMATIONAL STAGE MAKE-UP, and STAGE COMBAT. (Please note we WILL be teaching fighting styles including use of light sabres and "the force."

This year The Ganymede Ensemble's cast of Hamlet will participate in a series of intensive workshops in preparation for their work on Hamlet. These workshops will include in depth characterization, scene composition through the Viewpoints method, transformative stage make-up, hand-to-hand & armed stage combat, and table work of the text of Hamlet. Registration is available through the Wauwatosa Rec Dept.

Though we took a hiatus from performing this summer it could not keep us apart ❤️It was absolutely lovely to get together with former cast, crew and friends to mess around with some text at Hart Park. Looking forward to next summer's offering!
