Congratulations on the UWM Wind Ensemble Horns for their fabulous final concert of the year! Whatever they are doing in the practice room, keep doing it!

Thank you so much to Douglas Hill for coaching the UWM Horns today! We not only had the opportunity to perform his compositions, but also have a discussion about his book “Collected Thoughts on Teaching and Learning, Creativity, and Horn Performance!”

It was an AMAZING opportunity to have the chance to be conducted under the one and only Dr. Mallory Thompson for the UW-Milwaukee conducting symposium! Great job to everyone that participated and have a safe Spring Break!

Congrats to the UWM Wind Ensemble Horns for their first concert of 2026! This concert featured the Hub New Music Ensemble, guest students and conductors from the Conservatorio Rossini, and select high school musicians from Wisconsin! Go Panthers!!!

Our horn student will be performing the Strauss 1 Concerto with the UWM Orchestra on Friday, February 27th at 7:30PM! The concert should be live-streamed as well! See the comments for information on tickets!

The UWM horns along with UWM Band/Orchestra Musicians had a fantastic performance with the Black Diaspora symphony this weekend performing both Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and Margret Bond’s Montgomery Variations! We were also joined by UWM Alum Eli Drews! Stay warm everyone and have a wonderful break!
