Today is Ash Wednesday, which marks the first day of the season of Lent.
Campus Pastors and both Vicars will lead a special Vespers: Evening Prayer-Ash Wednesday service at the usual time of 9:25 pm. During the service, we will offer the Imposition of Ashes as a reminder of the sins we commit, the sorrow we have for them, and the need for a Savior from them.

As we look around, we have many things to be grateful for. It’s easy to take those things for granted, but as we consider the blessings God has surrounded us with, we clearly see his abounding grace.
When we see God’s love, it leads us to want to serve him faithfully. This becomes an easy task when we realize that God is always with us, giving us strength.
God tells us that we have overcome the world because we have faith in him.
Dear Lord, thank you for giving us the wonderful gifts of your grace and bountiful blessings. Give us strength to serve you and spread your word, so that all may rejoice because of your wonderful gifts.
Amen.

Happy Friday! The Lord has blessed us with another amazing week!
The Lord surrounds us with peace and has gifted us with many talents. What amazing encouragement that is!
Since our world is full of talent, it’s easy for us to focus on comparisons. Comparisons lead us to compete in order to be more athletic, smarter, or kinder than those around us.
We have peace in knowing that God has blessed us with unique and diverse talents. God promises that he will bless all of us in our own way. This gives us comfort and eliminates the want for us to compare ourselves to others.
Lord, help us to keep our eyes on you and take joy in the talents you have given to us.
