DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY:

Maintaining a healthy balance in today’s world requires a great deal of skill, knowledge, and practice.

The Health and Fitness curriculum is designed to emphasize the student’s responsibility for her own health and well-being. It is based on the seven dimensional wellness model with an emphasis on social, emotional, physical and spiritual wellness. DSHA is committed to preparing students to become advocates for their own health and well being. This program supports the academic mission of the school

Yesterday, June 23, marked the 50th anniversary of the day that Title IX was signed into law, making high school athletics a reality for girls. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers signed a proclamation to recognize the day.

In the 2021-2022 school year, 431 Dashers participated in athletics. DSHA offers 15 sports, from basketball and field hockey, to rugby and track and field — more than any other high school in Wisconsin. The DSHA Athletics Department empowers and inspires student–athletes to use their God-given talents to the fullest in a strong, Catholic environment that promotes academics first, competitive success, teamwork, leadership, service, and sportsmanship.

Go Dashers! ❤💛
