l and families, it is important we use a set of common guidelines to protect our families and staff from false accusations, privacy violations and any related legal implications. Josaphat Parish School Community Standards

St. Josaphat Parish School considers its social media platforms to be moderated and limited public forums . As a result, SJPS reserves the right to remove comments that are clearly off-topic and inappropriate, including:

Profane or obscene language or content

Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates prejudice or discrimination against protected classes

Sexually harassing, lewd, bullying, harassing, or discriminatory content

Conduct or encouragement of violence, criminal activity, or truancy (please note that threats made against school property is a felony under state law and persons who communicate threats will be reported to law enforcement)

Spam or comments that include links to external online sites

Comments that exist only to provoke or mislead

Commercial solicitations or advertisements including promotion or endorsement

Promotions of particular services, products, or political candidates or organizations

Information that personally identifies students or otherwise infringes on a child’s legal rights related to education

Information that is profane, slanderous, or defamatory against SJPS personnel or staff

Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of individuals and/or our school. SJPS reserves the right to ban commenters who repeatedly breach the guidelines above. Wisconsin Statutes 19.31-19.39 require us to archive all social media posts (including all comments deleted by individuals and SJPS) in compliance with public records laws. 🌟 Growing in Faith & Virtue at SJPS! 🌟

Each month, our school family comes together to focus on a special Catholic devotion—such as the Blessed Mother, the Eucharist, or the Holy Name of Jesus—and a virtue like kindness, inclusion, gratitude, generosity, and more.

Our students are encouraged to put these virtues into action! 💙 Students earn tickets when they demonstrate virtuous behaviors in the classroom, which they can cash in for fun keychains. Students who participate in our monthly devotional challenges are also entered into a drawing for a special family prize! 🎉

Each classroom also gets a chance to lead our school during Rosary time with a presentation focused on that month’s virtue.

Yesterday, our 4th grade students kicked off our first devotional presentation of the year! Since they chose to create a video, we wanted to make sure all of our SJPS families had the opportunity to enjoy it. 🎥❤️

We hope you love it as much as we did!

If you missed ordering your student’s school pictures, it’s not too late! Simply call Mrs. Pacheco in the school office and request a new online code for your student. We’ll send the code the next day, and you’ll be able to visit the Barksdale online platform to order pictures. 📷

The heat index is around 100° right now, and we do not expect a significant cool-down for a while. For the safety of our students and coaches, ALL after-school soccer practices are CANCELED TODAY.

We are so sorry for the late notice, but with these temperatures, we feel this is the safest decision.

✨ Where Does Jesus Like to Meet Us? ✨

Each week, all SJPS students visit our St. Maximilian Kolbe Chapel for prayer and reflection. Today, Fr. Martin spent time with several of our primary classes exploring a question they could relate to: Where do you like to meet your friends? 😊

Students shared their favorite spots to hang out, talk, and play—and then Fr. Martin helped students discover something even more important: the places where JESUS likes to meet US! ❤️

One of those special places is right here at SJPS—our Chapel. We are so blessed to have this beautiful space where our children can pause, pray, and encounter our Lord and Savior. 🙏✝️

September information packets are heading home this week, so be sure to watch for them in your child’s backpack!

Did your child miss the opportunity to sign up for a club, activity, or sport? No worries! They have all week to join the fun! 🏀🎨🎶⚽ Fees can be paid now, or we’ll collect them at the end of the month.
