Congratulations to Yusuf Mayowa Raji, a Lubar doctoral student in finance. He recently passed his dissertation proposal "The Causal Effects of Labor Force Demographic Growth on Local Economic Outcomes: Evidence from Housing and Banking Markets." His research examines how predictable changes in labor force demographics affect local housing and banking markets in the United States. The dissertation provides evidence that demographic growth influences housing prices, rental markets, and competition among local banks, highlighting the important role of demographic structure in shaping economic outcomes. Kudos on reaching this milestone, Yusuf!
