𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲.

For the last 10 years, The Commons, an initiative of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, has been at the forefront of fostering and developing a vibrant, diverse ecosystem of talent, bridging the gap between generations and disciplines, and working to live out the GMC’s mission of making Milwaukee the best place to live, learn, work, play, and stay for all.

𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. Many of our programs like FOR-M, Forward 48, and the Coaching Collective will continue through partner organizations, but our core operations will be absorbed into the new strategic vision of the GMC. This bittersweet announcement marks the end of an era, but the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Commons team as we prepare to embark on new opportunities.

We’ve had the privilege of engaging with thousands of individuals through our various programs designed to connect, develop, and empower the remarkable talent we have right here in our own backyard. As our work evolved, our team deepened our ties to Milwaukee and the many flourishing communities it houses.

While we firmly believe The Commons has left its mark on Milwaukee, there is no doubt that you - this incredible community of doers - have left a profound impact on us. You have enriched our lives beyond measure. You have shared your knowledge with us, championed us, challenged us, and inspired us. You have made us better. Better leaders, better colleagues, better friends, better people. For that, it is with the utmost sincerity, we thank you.

As we look forward to celebrating our accomplishments closer to year’s end, we still have work to do. In true Commons fashion, we are dedicated to fulfilling all of our programmatic obligations through the end of the year with enthusiasm, creativity, and thoroughness.

We remain committed to the betterment of Milwaukee and will continue to live out our values through new avenues of work, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to uplifting our city and its people. You can rest assured you’ll be hearing from us again soon.

She received a BIG honor and landed the Milwaukee Business Journal's Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, and we could not be more proud! Executive Director of Innovation + Talent for the Greater Milwaukee Committee — or as many of you know her, Co-Founder of The Commons — this lovely lady has been at the helm for almost two years and has been knocking it out of the park in every which way.
