Eaton donateed $30,000 to support the purchase of materials and equipment for the Golda Meir Gifted and Talented School Makerspace center. The makerspace will support student innovation and creative design in STEM-related areas.
Since 2012, Eaton has partnered with staff and students at Golda Meir to support STEM and Project Lead the Way initiatives.
PLTW is a nationally established program focused on preparing the future technical and engineering workforce. Through PLTW, Milwaukee Public Schools students have the opportunity to explore STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education through a fully developed curriculum intended to stimulate interest in various fields of technology.

All MPS schools are closed Friday, January 9, 2015. All Central Services locations are open. All principals and assistant principals should report to their schools. Thursday and Friday evening activities, including sports, are canceled.

MPS 4th graders experience culture in Denmark
Fourth grade students from Golda Meir School for the Gifted and Talented arrived safely in Denmark last week. The students in Ms. Opie’s classroom spent the school year studying Danish culture, language, food and history, in preparation for this trip.

4th grader Amillia Bell took 1st place in the Grades 3-4 group in this year's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Speech Contest. Today, she shared her speech with Milwaukee Public Schools staff at Central Services.
