UW-Milwaukee Interpreter Training Program
The program educates students to be competent bilingual interpreters, with an emphasis on service.
Students (future interpreters) who demonstrate the qualities of effective practitioners are those who reflect on how their choices and decisions affect the Deaf Community; they consider their practices and ensure their decisions and behaviors support equal access and communication for Deaf people; they own their mistakes and share them with others.
