The American Library Association Student Chapter is hosting a Mathis Art Gallery Curator Tour for the exhibition, On Making Fairyland. This is an exhibit of fairy tale and children’s fancy illustration from the Golden Age of Illustration (1880-1930).
This event will take place on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, from 11:00 – 11:30am in-person at the Emily H. Mathis Art Gallery | Mitchell Hall 170. (Address: 3203 N. Downer Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53211).

To celebrate the end of the semester the American Library Association Student Chapter is hosting an event, Pastries with Peers. This event will take place tomorrow, Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 10:00-11:30am on the 3rd Floor of NWQD.
There will be pastries to enjoy and the current ALA Student Chapter will be there to answer any questions you may have about the organization.

Meet speaker Dr. Hiromi Kubo! Hiromi is a Public Services Librarian at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). Her research interests include information literacy in business and economics education, DEIA issues in academic libraries, and internationalization of higher education. She authored a chapter of the book, Asian American Librarians and Library Services: Activism, Collaborations, and Strategies. At Fresno State, she has served as president of the Asian Faculty and Staff Association and chair of the Library Diversity Committee. She received an MLIS from the University of Missouri, Columbia and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Fresno State.
