On November 26th, 1984, the very first female Greek organization was established at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, from the Tau Iota Epsilon Fraternity Little Sisters Program, as Phi Delta Chi Sorority, Alpha Chapter. Today is International Women's Day!
This holiday originated in 1909, where approximately 15,000 women gathered and marched to protest working conditions and to demand voting rights. To this day, it continues to be a rallying point to build support for women's rights and also as a celebration for women's social, economic, and political achievements.
If you want to show your solidarity with this holiday and what it stands for, wear purple! Purple symbolizes justice and dignity, and is the official color of International Women's Day.

Saturday is our last rush event, and we're going out with a bang! We'll have famous appetizers from countries like Russia, France, Italy, Sweden, Mexico, Germany, India, Laos, Greece, and Ireland!
We will initially meet in front of RWJ at 6pm, but If you're not free right away and would still like to come let us know and we can set something up!
