Tomorrow!
Join us for pastries (and more) from 8-9am in the school cafeteria. This is for parents/guardians to get to know one another better! Babies/toddlers welcome.
(Please note, this is not an event for kids that attend Collective Montessori-they will need to go directly to class).
Can’t stay? Don’t worry, the outreach committee still wants to appreciate you! Rozalynn and Martice will be in the drop off line handing out to go breakfasts which include oranges, granola bars, muffins, a crumble cookie and juice!
Additionally, our adolescent children are soft launching their coffee shop for parents tomorrow! The PTSA will provide juice tomorrow morning, and coffee and hot chocolate will be available for purchase. Funds raised will be used to add more field trips for the adolescent class!

When we talk about Collective Montessori School to the public, you will hear us said we are a community based, collective school often. Because that’s exactly what we are-led with the community and in community.
Today, we picked up five more car loads of donations from Amazon. These products are near Best Buy date, some boxes are damaged, or something else led them to be discarded ( but they are perfectly good items).
Today we intentionally planned on picking up items for other community organizations to make sure that these products get into the community and don’t go to waste.
Our small but mighty PTSA is proud to not only support our amazing school and staff, but to also support organizations in the community.
Two car fulls worth of formula, nose Fridas, Hakkas for catching milk, dock a tots, and more went with CMS parent and PTSA outreach co-chair Rozalynn Perkins who will be distributing them to new moms and to Milwaukee based doulas to distribute to their clients.
A half car load of shelf-stable goods and formula went to cafe, a pay what you can cafe down the road from our school that serves vegan food and provides food for free to those food insecure, no questions asked. Tricklebee is working on closing the gap since the closure of Pick n Save (which is next to our school) making our school area a food desert area.
A car and a half went to Academy outreach coordinator who will distribute amongst their school, families and need and utilize in their food pantry.
And of course, items went to Collective Montessori. Hygiene items will be distributed during our book fair to families, gifts are being put aside for our holiday party, boxes and boxes of snacks are being put in the closet for our kiddos and for our community room for families in need, and supplies for classrooms and staff are being distributed, including new items for our kiddos with sensory needs.
We are grateful to parent Jessica Krajcik for this connection, to Gina and all the other staff at Amazon, and to parents Andrea Bilello, Nicole Kirk, Amy Catherine Scales and Jessica for driving to Kenosha, loading up, unloading and organizing the items!
JOIN US! Whether you are a parent or guardian or just a supporter of CMS, we can use your time, gifts and talents to continue to grow our community led school!

Thank you to a generous donor for fulfilling the fundraising request from Collective Montessori School for an AED defibrillator for the school. This anonymous donor generously donated funds for the school to be able to purchase TWO AED sets to make sure that we have life-saving measures on site for our kids and staff.
THANK YOU!
