The first Thankful Thursday of the school year!

On weeks there is not an all-school Mass, Dashers have the option to go to Mass. This week was milkshake Mass – Campus Ministry officers handed out sweet treats after church. This Mass was also dedicated to our tennis and cross country teams!

Next week, our Furia Latina co-curricular has organized a Spanish Mass!

DSHA celebrated our first all-school Mass of the 2026-2027 school year on Friday. Fr. Silas Henderson, SDS, presided over the Mass and during his homily, reminded students the importance of paying attention-- to themselves, to their peers, and to God.

Faith formation is at the heart of all that we do at DSHA. In addition to our monthly all-school Masses, students have the opportunity to attend Thankful Thursday Masses in the Mother of Our Savior Chapel during weeks we do not have all-school Mass.

We look forward to celebrating our first Thankful Thursday Mass of the year this week.

On Thursday, Dashers gathered in the theatre for the annual ‘Welcome Back Assembly.’ Current students cheered on our freshmen as they entered the theatre for the first time this school year. We also heard updates from Campus Ministry and celebrated student accomplishments from the summer.

As only the second year of our Salvatorian Family House System, new students have been waiting for their House assignments. During the assembly, students were called up on stage based on an image they had found in their mailbox. House captains then revealed each group’s House as the stage lit up in its corresponding colors for the big reveal.

We can’t wait to see what this year brings as Houses compete in friendly competitions throughout the year…which house will come out on top?!

‘Wherever you go, I will go…’

We are excited to introduce our scriptural theme this year from the passage Ruth 1:16. Rooted in the overall Salvation Mission, this scriptural passage reminds us to answer God’s call to make known the goodness and kindness of the Savior in all that we do.

Today, our school community will gather to celebrate our first all-school Mass of the year! As we conclude the first week of school, please join us in praying for our students, faculty, and staff!
