COLLEGE BOUND SCHOLARS FAMILY UPDATE
The Marquette University College Bound Scholars Program is OPEN AS SCHEDULED for Tuesday, July 14, and Wednesday, July 15.
We understand many families have questions due to the forecasted extreme heat.
At this time, our program will continue because all classes and activities take place in fully air-conditioned Marquette University facilities. Unlike many recreation sites, our students have access to climate-controlled classrooms and indoor spaces throughout the day.
To help keep students safe:
• Classes will remain indoors.
• Outdoor recreation will be limited or moved inside, including the Marquette Wellness Center.
• Students will be encouraged to stay hydrated, and staff will continue monitoring weather conditions throughout the day.
We respect that every family must make the decision they believe is best for their student. If our plans change, we will notify families immediately.
Please Note: Since the program is operating as scheduled, absences on July 14 or July 15 will count toward attendance calculations used for both summer college tour eligibility and summer stipend eligibility.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Since 1969, Marquette Universitys Educational Opportunity Program has been making an impact on future generations.
Our recent Career Connections & Mentoring Day and EOP Picnic was a beautiful reminder of what happens when community, purpose, and legacy come together.
Mentors, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends returned to pour into the next generation — sharing wisdom, encouragement, career insight, and EOP spirit.
This is what makes EOP special: those who were helped come back to help somebody else. Our mentors and alumni continue to let their past help someone else’s future.
Take a moment to check out the pictures from this special day and celebrate the EOP family with us.

EOP Cookout in the Park is more than a cookout — it’s mentoring, homecoming, family reunion, and community.
Since 1969, Marquette University’s Educational Opportunity Program has been making a difference in the lives of students, families, alumni, and future leaders.
Join us Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11:30 AM on Marquette University’s Central Mall, outside between the field in front of Lalumiere and behind Coughlin Hall, for food, music, networking, games, and connection.
To our mentors, alumni, faculty, staff, and EOP family: come let your past help somebody’s future. Your story, your encouragement, and your presence can make a difference.
Bring your EOP spirit, wear your favorite EOP gear or summer shirt, and come celebrate the community that continues to open doors and change lives.
