Goodrich families, just a friendly reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. 🎉

We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and gets some time to relax, recharge, and spend time with family! ❤️💙

Milwaukee Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, September 2, 2026, due to extreme heat. All before-school, after-school and athletic programs are canceled. Central Services and all administrative buildings will be open. Staff at those sites should report to work. Thank you and be safe.

🎉 What a GREAT First Day at Goodrich Elementary! 📚❤️

We are officially off to a fantastic start! We are so happy to see all of our Goodrich students back and so proud of each and every one of them for braving the heat and bringing their smiles, excitement, and positive energy to our first day of school! ☀️😎

It was a wonderful first day filled with new beginnings, happy faces, and lots of learning. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the school year! 🥰

We were also excited to welcome a very special guest, Dr. Brenda Cassellius, our Superintendent, along with her team, who stopped by Goodrich to welcome our students back to school. We are so grateful for their support and for taking the time to celebrate the start of another great school year with us! 💙

We are SO excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 1st! 🎉🍎

📌 A few important reminders:

🧸 K4 & K5: These grades have a staggered start. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the staggered start schedule.

✏️ Grades 1–5: Students in grades 1–5 begin school on Tuesday, September 1st. Our school day begins at 7:15 a.m. ⏰

☀️💦 Warm Weather Reminder: The first few days of school are expected to be very warm and humid. Goodrich Elementary is not air conditioned, so please send your child in cool, comfortable clothing and be sure they bring a water bottle each day. 👕🧴💧
