Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Last weekend was full of celebrations with Grand Rounds, the Pinning Ceremony, and Commencement! We are so proud of you. 😊🫶 Now, go do great things! 😁🧠💪

Class of 2026 B students presented the research projects they’ve dedicated the past academic year to developing at the 2026 UWM Partners for Health Research Symposium. Proud to see our students contributing to evidence-based practice and advancing the future of physical therapy through research, collaboration, and innovation! 🏋️🧠🏃‍♀️

Our Class of 2027 students officially wrapped up the last class day of their first year yesterday! 🎉

The day included a Therapeutic Yoga session led by from our 2026A class 🧘‍♀️ along with presentations of the children’s books students created in Neuroanatomy about different neurological conditions 📚🧠

A huge thank you to David for leading such a great yoga session, and best of luck to all of our students as they head into finals next week! 🤗

Second-year PT students wrapped up the semester with an exciting interprofessional experience (IPE) alongside Speech-Language Pathology and Nursing students! 🧠🦴💉 Students collaborated to evaluate a simulated patient recovering from a stroke, while developing teamwork and communication skills across healthcare professions. Using the Ziemer Clinical Simulation Center’s multi-camera system, students gained a unique perspective on patient care and clinical decision-making. A great collaborative learning experience for all involved! 🩺🏥✨

DPTSA’s spring trivia fundraiser this weekend was a great success! 🤗 Thanks to the sponsors and attendees, and the hard work of the volunteers, venue staff, and DPTSA board, we were able to raise thousands of dollars to help cover boards prep for our students and make a donation to the Marquette Challenge, contributing to the future of physical therapy research. What a fun night! 🥳⁉️🍕

Last week our 1st years got hands-on at a Mobility Symposium hosted by 🤗

They explored and tested a wide range of assistive devices—from manual and powered wheelchairs to bath chairs, cushioning, and more—gaining real-world insight into mobility solutions 🦼🦽

Huge thank you to Numotion for organizing such an impactful experience, and to the vendors who shared their expertise: Ki Mobility, Quantum, Invacare, Target Mobility, Permobil, and Sunrise ✨

UWM DPT students and faculty were invited to join the Spring Into Motion event today! We inspired the next generation of health care professionals with challenges like “test your grip strength” and “which bone goes where?” What a fun day!!
