A mother is speaking out after what she says were violent, racially charged threats made toward her child, allegedly sent through Facebook Messenger by a married couple — prompting her to release screenshots.
The allegations were made public by Tihoka Sharpe, who shared screenshots and a strongly worded caption on Facebook accusing Wendy Cone Bright and her husband Curt Bright of threatening her child.
Wendy Cone Bright & Curt Bright appear to be from the , North Carolina based on Wendy's page.
According to screenshots shared by Sharpe, the situation began with a private Facebook Messenger message allegedly sent by Wendy Cone Bright to Sharpe's son.
One message reads:
“When I find you and I will you will be on your knees praying to God for your life. I know you live near the tunnels and we will meet very soon and your going to wish you stayed away from my son.”
Sharpe's son denied any involvement with Wendy’s son, replying that he does not associate with him and told Wendy to stop messaging him.
Despite that, another message allegedly followed:
“I want text but I will meet up with you and you will meet your faith.”
Sharpe responded by calling the message disturbing and said he would show it to his mother. Wendy allegedly replied:
“It’s a promise boy. Show her.”
Concerned for her child’s safety, Sharpe reached out directly to Wendy’s husband, Curt Bright, warning him about the messages.
Sharpe wrote:
“U better control that thing u call a woman. Making threats to my kid will get her FKED UP!”**
According to screenshots, Curt Bright replied:
“I’m not exactly sure what you mean… but we’ll put people in the river if needed.”
After the exchanges, Sharpe took the matter public with a Facebook post.
