What an incredible day of culture, creativity, and pride! Our students did an amazing job bringing history to life, and we are so proud of the confidence, talent, and heart they displayed on stage. 👏🏾

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the families and supporters who showed up and showed love — your presence made the night even more special. 💛

At Destiny, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future.

❤️✨ Love was in the air at Destiny today! ✨❤️

Our Valentine’s Day sale + photo wall backdrop made it easy for students to celebrate in a simple, fun way! From sweet treats to cute selfies, the vibes were ALL love. Big shoutout to Dr. Nunnery for setting up the backdrop and giving everyone the perfect selfie spot! 📸💕
(SEND IN YOUR SELFIES, we wanna see’em!)

While Valentine’s Day may have started as a day for romantic love, today it’s all about celebrating love in every form — friendship, kindness, appreciation, and showing people they matter. Cards, flowers, chocolates… and most importantly, good energy and genuine care. 💌🌹🍫

At Destiny, we’re choosing love — the kind that uplifts, includes, and reminds everyone they’re valued. 💛

✨Today we celebrate you, our founder, Pastor ! As she continues to grow her resume from Pastor, Author, Entrepreneur and in 2026 more and more a Mentor. Thank you for taking time to pour into the young ladies of Destiny High School and DLHA by investing time, wisdom, and love every Wednesday alongside Pastor Kateri. We are becoming covenant girls! Your time every week is nurturing us to become girls that understand a sacred, unbreakable bond of relationship with God, characterized by mutual commitment, solemn promises, and a new identity is important to our maturity. From teaching self-love, healthy self-esteem, and self-care, to reminding our girls that how we speak to ourselves matters — her impact is lasting.

One thing she prides herself on is this principle, “you don’t love yourself, you can’t teach others how to love you.” 💛

With her birthday on today, Friday the 13th, we’re celebrating her because she is kindhearted, loving and truly deserving of the spotlight.

Thank you, Pastor Pam, for reminding every girl that she is special, worthy, and important. 🌸

☀️ The school year is already looking bright! Day One Student Spotlight goes to Kieren 🎉

This summer, he enjoyed time with family and friends and was glad he got to attend the Wisconsin State Fair. One of his personal goals was to increase his upper body strength. He set out to lift 5 pounds — and not only did he do it, but he completed 500 reps this summer! His next goal: 10 pounds.

💬 “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.” – Henry Ford 📖 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13

Kieren’s determination reminds us that every victory counts. Keep going Kieren— we’re cheering you on! 💛 At Destiny, we want everyone to win. 🏆

🌟 Student Spotlight 🌟
This summer, Paiton Scruggs received one of the highest honors in Marquette’s E.O.P. Upward Bound program — Most Valuable Sophomore 🏆. Each year, only 1 male and 1 female in the entire grade earn this award, making it an extraordinary achievement when Paiton won it for her whole grade group.

When asked how she won, she humbly said she “just went to class, participated, and got straight A’s.” But we know it’s more than that — it’s growth, dedication, and discovering her God-given potential.

At Destiny High School, we teach every student that they have a purpose. Paiton’s journey reminds us that when purpose meets hard work, incredible things happen. We see you Paiton.

From college tours across IL, MO, TN, and OK, to historical visits like the Mason Temple where Dr. King gave his final speech, Paiton embraced every moment — and shined. To God be the glory — she’s come a long way but she’s still got a long ways to go! 💛🙌 we believe you can do it Paiton! Our first spotlight goes to you! Keep up the good work, you make Destiny look good.

✨ Did You Know?

Destiny High School students served at The House of Peace? It's been a community cornerstone since 1968, dedicated to helping Milwaukee’s poor, hungry, and homeless.

At DHS, students are required to complete 20 hours of community service each year—what a powerful way to build character, compassion, and purpose. It reminds us and our students to be thankful but also that we need each other to thrive. Right? Starting in October through March, our students will participate in teacher led volunteer trips once each month.

Thank you to Mr. Johnson, Mr. Evans, and Dr. Nunnery for leading this meaningful experience. We’re proud to see our students learning, serving, and growing outside of our 4 💛
