Each summer our Admin Academy brings campus leaders together with network leadership for intensive learning, collaboration, coaching, and strategic planning to ensure every school is prepared to deliver an exceptional year for every scholar.

Please join us in welcoming Principal Deniece Fields Russell as the new principal of our Lloyd Street Campus!

With more than 25 years of experience in urban education, Principal D.F. Russell has dedicated her career to helping scholars reach their fullest potential and empowering educators to achieve excellence. Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, principal, educational leader, author, and consultant, leading high-performing schools and helping transform learning communities across the Midwest.

A proud Milwaukee native, Principal D.F. Russell's journey has come full circle. Nearly 30 years ago, she began her career in the very building that is now home to MCP's Lloyd Street Campus. Today, she returns as principal, bringing with her a deep commitment to scholar success, strong school culture, and the belief that every child deserves to be challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve greatness.

Building on the strong foundation already established at Lloyd Street, Principal D.F. Russell is excited to partner with families, scholars, and staff to continue creating a school community where every child can thrive.

Meet Allison Peterson, MCP's Director of K3.

Since Milwaukee College Prep welcomed its first K3 scholars in 2022, Ms. Peterson has helped create a place where our youngest learners can thrive.

She believes every child deserves to feel safe, known, and inspired to learn. That's why every morning, her goal is simple: she wants each scholar to walk through our doors feeling welcomed, excited, and confident—because school should be a place children love to be.

Ms. Peterson also believes strong schools are built on strong partnerships with families. She works to ensure every parent feels valued and confident that their child is safe, supported, and learning every day.

Because of leaders like Ms. Peterson, our youngest scholars begin their educational journey surrounded by people who believe in their limitless potential.

Our next leader spotlight shines on Dr. Devon Weber, principal of MCP’s 38th Street Campus.

As a former MCP scholar, Principal Weber experienced firsthand how one caring educator can change the trajectory of a child's life. That experience shaped who he is and inspired him to return to serve the very community that invested in him. Something that drives Principal Weber is knowing that our work has the power to open doors, change futures, and remind every scholar that their potential is limitless.

At 38th Street, Principal Weber champions a culture of high expectations—because at MCP, we believe in our scholars. Principal Weber’s hope is that every child walks in knowing, "There are people here who want me to succeed."

Principal Weber know success is about much more than test scores. It's about building character, confidence, resilience, empathy, and the ability to overcome challenges. If our scholars leave us believing in themselves, treating others with kindness, and knowing they can accomplish hard things, then we've done our job.
