Today was a fun day in the sun! ☀️ We played outside, bowled, blew bubbles, played catch, and enjoyed many more outdoor activities. We also had a great day eating outside together. What a fun-filled day full of laughter, learning, and sunshine! 😊 😎

Today we did an edible finger painting activity. I let the little ones create masterpieces using pudding and food coloring. They used their hands directly on the table and on construction paper, using the pudding as paint. This was a fun sensory activity that allowed the children to explore different textures, colors, and creativity while strengthening fine motor skills.

Today the weather was nice, so we were finally able to do some planting outside. The children placed seeds into the soil in small planting cartons and watered them carefully. This was a great hands-on learning and sensory experience for the children as they explored different textures such as dirt, seeds, and water. The activity encouraged fine motor skills, sensory exploration, teamwork, and early learning about nature and plant growth.🪴

When people talk about kindergarten readiness, academics tend to get all the attention 📚
But the skills kids truly need to succeed in the classroom start long before worksheets ✨
We are breaking down the foundational skills that support learning, participation, and independence—like:
🧘♀️ regulating emotions and calming the body
🔁 transitioning between activities
🚽🧼 using the bathroom and washing hands
🧥🥪 managing clothing and lunch containers
👂📋 attending, listening, and following directions
🤝⏳ sharing, waiting, and taking turns
These are the skills that help children function in a real classroom—and they grow through play, daily routines, and supportive experiences over time 🎯
Kindergarten readiness isn’t about being ahead.
It’s about being ready for the day 💛

Yesterday, I attended the “Defining the Early Childhood Education Ecosystem” panel discussion in honor of the Week of the Young Child. The event brought together early childhood educators, employers, community members, and decision-makers to highlight the important role early childhood education and care plays in strengthening our workforce and local economy.
I was also unexpectedly honored with flowers for being a co-researcher in the photovoice project, where my photos were displayed publicly. I was truly grateful and surprised to be acknowledged in this way, and it was an honor to be part of such a meaningful experience.

🎉 Week of the Young Child Celebration Kick-Off was a SUCCESS!
What an amazing experience celebrating the heart and soul of early childhood education. I had the honor of connecting with author Kelly Melton, and it was truly inspiring.
This event was all about recognizing providers and the incredible work we do every single day—and it felt so good to be celebrated! 💛
I’m also proud to share that my artwork, along with other providers’ pieces, will be displayed publicly. Seeing our creativity and passion showcased like that was absolutely beautiful!
I am grateful, inspired, and motivated to keep pouring into our children and our community. ✨

Ripped Paper Bunny 🐰
A fun and engaging way to build fine motor skills while learning and creating!
Our children practiced their fine motor skills by using scissors to cut paper and place the pieces onto their bunny craft 🐰✂️
This activity is important because it helps strengthen hand muscles, improve coordination, and encourages creativity through craft exploration
