🍀 We Appreciate You🍀
Yesterday we took a moment to celebrate the heart of our school—OUR STAFF! 💚
From the classrooms to the hallways, the dedication, love, and commitment you pour into our students every single day does not go unnoticed. We are beyond grateful for each of you and the impact you make in our building.
We hope you enjoyed the treats, and a little extra appreciation—because you truly deserve it all and more!
Roosevelt is what it is because of YOU. ✨

Last Week, we took time to honor two incredible educators who have poured so much into our Roosevelt family. đź’™
Mr. Adegoke and Mr. Olaolu have made a lasting impact on our students through their dedication, care, and commitment. While their time with us is coming to an end due to recent changes in federal administration policies, this is a loss for our school community—and simply put, it doesn’t feel fair.
We came together to celebrate them with food from their culture and presented them with a gift and plaque to honor their lasting impact on our school community.
The impact of this loss was evident throughout our building, with many students in tears and struggling to process the news. Their presence, their passion, and the connections they built with our students will truly be missed. They will always be a part of our story.
Thank you for everything you’ve given. You will always have a home here. ❤️ (Please check comments for videos.)

This holiday season, something was done that has never been done before at RMSA. Thanks to our Parent Coordinator, Over 30 families were adopted for the holidays, and in many cases, not just our students but their entire households, including siblings. In total, over 40 families were impacted, and it was truly beautiful to witness.
A huge thank you to Bobby Portis Foundation for their donation, some Cooper Park neighborhood residents, our social worker’s colleagues/friends, and our biggest contributor Babbling Babes who made this possible. Thank you Capuchin Community Services for the holiday food boxes as well.
Our first Day of Giving kicked off at our Holiday Family Movie Night, where families enjoyed a cozy evening with a popcorn bar, treats, and togetherness.
We are beyond grateful. This is community. This is love in action.

It’s that time of the year again. Thank you to those who adopted families last year. We have about 25 Families experiencing housing instability at our school in need this holiday season. To support them, we’ve set up an Angel Tree with their wish lists. If you’d like to adopt one of these families and help make their season brighter, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Rubie Mizell at 414-267-8867 or email [email protected] 🎄

Our Schoolwide Thanksgiving Meal was a success! A huge thank you to Bianca Shaw for helping us secure donations and to her colleagues who contributed. Thank you to Dr. Shauntay Nelson, who stepped in and blessed us to ensure everything came together. We also appreciate Yolanda Williams and Twin's Catering Services, LLC for cooking and serving the meal. And thank you to the staff members who stepped in to help serve as well. We truly couldn’t have done it without you all.
