It is with the greatest joy I finally get to announce that weekly drop-in classes for Brazilian Zouk dancers are now available in Chicago! March 2020 was supposed to be the launch with Newport Zouk University...🙃 Since then, I've taught hundreds of online drop-in classes for Zoukers around the world, piloted a unique methodology and class structure for Brazilian Zouk training for 4 months in Chicago and Milwaukee, and introduced my teaching style to students through workshops and performances around the world.

Unlike most social dance classes (but like all open ballet/jazz/contemporary classes) these classes are drop-in style. There's something new every week, but just like a ballet class the basic technique and exercises repeat, so the more often you go the deeper you get to dive and the more you improve.

ABOUT BRAZILIAN ZOUK FLOW ACADEMY:
Brazilian Zouk Flow Academy (BZFA) is a technique-based training program for Brazilian Zouk social dancing, performance, and competition. This program features a Brazilian Zouk syllabus created by Sydney Schiff, a classically-trained professional contemporary dancer, choreographer, and scholar, who studied Brazilian Zouk dancing, history, and culture for her graduate research at the University of Michigan and beyond.
BZFA classes feature a ballet-based warm up crafted to support Brazilian Zouk musicality and body movement, Brazilian Zouk solo footwork and partnerwork syllabus training, styling, creativity, and improvisation for social dancing. We rehearse choreographies for performance and competition as electives after class for students who wish to participate.
