The Kickstarter for The Pale Pickle is live!! We have 30 days to reach our goal, for the minimum order quantity of 500 books for each, including the storybook and cookbook!

About the book:
Join Pip and family as they move from Pickle Valley to Pickle City. Coming from a community full of organic farming, fresh homegrown vegetables, healthy recipes, and plenty of nature, moving to the big city was quite a change. Learn about urban gardening in the city, sharing healthy eating tips, making new friends, and promoting wellness in the community! Follow along, and even learn how to make the healthy recipes found throughout the book for you and your family!
Why this book is different:
-There's no "bad guy" in this story. We chose to promote healthy and curious childlike responses to diversity and acceptance of differences in others!
-In the paired cookbook there are 10 allergy-friendly recipes that are all gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and vegan. The recipes sneak in extra vitamins using pickles and cucumbers, have been tested and kid approved, and contain helpful tips for all ages to enjoy making the recipes together!
-Both books will be printed Cradle to Cradle Certified® meaning that the paper and ink used to create the books are safe for you, your kids, and the planet, and additionally saves resources during its production! (Traditional inks and paper used today in some books can contain chemicals or create a lot of water waste and energy usage, so this level of certification is unique and necessary!)
-Both books are made for the biological cycle and are 100% recyclable!
-The production of the books leave a green CO2 footprint! Through print4climate, the order offsets 10% more C02 than is created during the manufacturing process. The offsets contribute to forest reforestation and climate protection projects.
-The books are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified meaning the paper is from responsible sources.
