This week in our Get Ready With Me! 4K Program, we are learning all about families! 💙

Our students will be talking about the special people in their lives and learning that every family can look a little different—and that’s what makes each one so special! Throughout the week, we’ll explore the theme of families through stories, conversations, art, early literacy, math, and hands-on activities.

Our Get Ready With Me! program is all about helping children build the academic, social, and independence skills they need to feel confident and ALWAYS READY TO LEARN! 🎒📚✨

🍦🚚 The Ice Cream Truck Came to Safe Haven Minocqua! 💙

Today was an extra sweet day at our Safe Haven Minocqua Center! Our friends had a special visit from Yourts and their ice cream truck! 🍨✨

There’s just something magical about seeing an ice cream truck pull up—especially when you’re little! The smiles, excitement, and anticipation made this such a fun experience for our kiddos. 🥰

A HUGE thank you to Yort’s for coming out and treating our children to some delicious ice cream and helping us create another special summer memory! 💙🍦

We are so grateful for businesses in our community that take the time to make our kiddos feel so special. 🫶🏻

Yesterday, our students put their learning into action with some fun, hands-on farm-themed activities! 🧮✨

We worked on math worksheets and used manipulatives to practice counting, helping our students build number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, problem-solving, and early math skills.

We also began creating our very own farm dioramas! 🌾🐄 Students are using their creativity to design and build their farms while practicing fine motor skills, planning, decision-making, and imaginative thinking.

These activities may look like play and creativity, but they are building so many important skills along the way. At Safe Haven, we love giving our students opportunities to learn by doing! 💙

🌾 This Week at Safe Haven: Farm Week! 🐷🐮🐥

Our friends are having so much fun exploring life on the farm! This week, our classrooms are filled with hands-on activities, creative art, sensory experiences, stories, and play all centered around farm animals and farm life. 🚜

From painting their own farm animals 🎨 to exploring farm-themed books and activities, our friends are learning through creativity, curiosity, and play!

We love watching even our littlest learners get involved—because learning starts from the very beginning. 💙

🐄 What sound does a cow make?
🐷 Where do pigs like to play?
🐥 Who lives in the chicken coop?
🚜 And what kinds of things happen on a farm?

We can’t wait to see what else our little farmers discover this week! 🌾🐓

Our School Age boys are putting their imaginations to work and dreaming up some AMAZING dragons! From fierce fire-breathers to silly, colorful creatures, there’s no limit to what they can create. 🎨🔥

Activities like this encourage creativity, storytelling, teamwork, and plenty of BIG ideas—all while having fun together!

💭 If you could create your very own dragon, what would it look like? Would it breathe fire, fly through space, or maybe even shoot rainbows? 🌈🐲
