This week has been busy! I have been working on long division with lots of my friends and this a very visual way to try if you or your children drop a step. If you have base 100 blocks this is easy to make hands on. I would love your feedback in the comments or a test problem to try!!

A 50¢ pack of conversation cards, some tape, and a marker became one of my favorite tutoring games. 💚

I just shared how I made Multiples Trash, how families can play it at home, and how to make a deck from cards they already have. The conversation questions on my cards turned math practice into a chance to connect, too.

If a game deck has come home from a tutoring session—or you’re looking for a low-cost way to practice multiplication—this one’s for you. Let your child teach you a round!

Creating these sets for my tutoring clients has been a labor of love and each time someone asks to take a set home to practice or challenge a family member I am reminded that it is worth making things that are perfectly imperfect.
