Our midshipmen hit the ground running, learning aircraft flows, preflight procedures, and foundational flight operations from both Navy and Pray Aviation instructors. Their professionalism, motivation, and eagerness to learn made for an outstanding start to the program.

Congratulations to Jay Sherry on earning his Private Pilot Certificate!
After a successful career helping market startup software companies, Jay decided that retirement was the perfect time to pursue a dream he had always carried with him—learning to fly. While life and work kept him busy for years, he never let go of that goal.
At 72 years old, Jay proved it's never too late to chase a dream. His motivation was simple and inspiring: earn his wings so he can take his grandchildren flying and share the freedom of aviation with the next generation.

It’s always great to see former Pray Aviation instructors doing big things!

Former Assistant Chief Instructor Sean Durkin and former instructor Manny Osei recently crossed paths again at Charlotte while moving metal for Piedmont. Both played an important role in training and mentoring students at Pray Aviation before taking the next step in their aviation careers.

Seeing former team members succeed in the airlines is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We’re proud of everything Sean and Manny have accomplished and look forward to watching their continued success in the industry.

Today we want to recognize and thank an incredible member of the Pray Aviation family, Jordan King, as he takes the next step in his aviation career and heads to the airlines.

Jordan first joined Pray Aviation through the SkillBridge program after serving 8 years on active duty in the United States Air Force. He continues to serve our country in the Air Force Reserves while pursuing his aviation dreams.

Over his time with us, Jordan has been an outstanding instructor, mentor, and teammate. His professionalism, dedication to his students, and positive attitude have left a lasting impact on everyone at Pray Aviation. He has helped countless pilots achieve their goals and has played a huge role in the success of our flight school.

While we’re sad to see him go, we’re equally excited to watch him continue his journey and achieve the goals he’s worked so hard for. The airlines are gaining a fantastic pilot, and we couldn’t be more proud.
