Milton High School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Rock County event for the second year in a row. Last year, we were honored to be the community advocate and so grateful to be named the "Rookie Team of the Year". The students are excited to participate again and hope to surpass our amount raised last year. Could you please consider donating to our team? If you know a participant, feel free to donate directly through their link. We will also be in person at three fall sporting events to collect donations: Soccer 9/8, Volleyball 9/10, and Football 9/18.

Come check out Milton FBLA in the Commons area tonight during Open House! We'll have membership forms available and other information about what we have planned so far this year. Freshmen - you'll have a special time to check us out during the Activities fair as part of Link Crew orientation Wednesday morning. Make sure you stop by our table for a SWEET surprise Wednesday!

The new school year is fast approaching! Get ready for some exciting updates from our department and clubs soon.

In the meantime, if you might be willing to support our FBLA kiddos by purchasing some snacks we’d greatly appreciate. Miss Avery will continue to bake treats for each monthly meeting when possible, but with over 45 attendees every month, having extra snacks and treats on hand would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

An update from San Antonio, Texas: Emily spent two days on the riverwalk soaking up all NLC 2026 had to offer. The conference had over 16,000 attendees this year from all over the U.S. and Canada. While she didn’t crack the top 10, we are so proud of her accomplishments as a first year FBLA member!

It’s National Leadership Conference time again! Our Wisconsin FBLA state qualifier Emily is on her way to San Antonio to meet up with 16,000 other members from across the US and Canada. She will compete in her testing event Tuesday morning. Results will be announced later this week at the awards ceremony. Will you please wish her good luck in the comments below?

Today was the capstone project presentations in Entrepreneurship class. Students channeled their "inner entrepreneur" and created a pitch with visual aids, similar to what you might see on the popular tv show, Shark Tank. Students then presented their ideas to their classmates and a few staff. We had food trucks, to computer repair stores, to auto detailing or landscaping, even a balloon arch/party decor company. We love providing our students with hands-on projects that they could take into the real world and turn into an actual business. Take a look at the images, one these students may just be the next small business owner in Milton!

We had a record number (17!) of students earn the Microsoft Excel certification earlier this week!

Please congratulate these students pictured below and those not pictured: Jackson W., Josh L. Josh S., Yaretzi G., Cortland J., and Arya T.

We have one more certification this trimester, PowerPoint! Stay tuned for an update.

Just as a reminder this class is titled "Workplace Applications" and focuses on learning a Windows operating system computer along with Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. These students have demonstrated efficiency and a strong knowledge of Excel. They are workplace and college ready wherever life takes them after Milton HS.
