Trade apprenticeship applications double at Madison’s IBEW Local 159 IBEW Local 159 has seen more than double the amount of applicants for their apprenticeships over the last five years.

Blain Supply Distribution Center is hiring for temporary job assignments this summer and fall.
**Minimum age 18 to work in the Distribution Center
Part-time and Full-time schedules available
$17.50 for day shifts, $19.50 for 2nd Shift
Work location will be at the DC located at 401 W. Venture Drive in Janesville.
This is physical work in a warehouse setting, using manual pallet jack and electronic scanner to pick orders to be shipped to Farm & Fleet stores.
Temporary positions are expected to run up to 12 weeks, between July and October.

Streamline Swim Academy is hiring Swim Instructors:

Swim Instructors
Description

As a Streamline Swim Academy Swim Instructor, you will help others find their passion in the water by teaching swimming skills to enjoy for a lifetime. Streamline Swim Academy is heavily focused on teaching water safety principles along with proper technique. Our swim school begins taking on children as young as 4 years of age. In our lessons, parents select a lesson time within a quarter. On the first day each student’s skill level is tested. On the second day, we split into our classes, (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). We allow up to 4 individuals per class.

Qualifications

Must be 16 years or older. 18 years or older preferred.

Must have American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or willing to obtain. Training is available to the right candidate.

Must have at least 2 past seasons of swim lesson teaching experience.

Preferred past swim coach experience.

Preferred American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.

Ability to teach, breakdown and recommend drills for front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, side stroke, and elementary backstroke.

Comfortable working in a pool setting.

Positive attitude and high energy.

Good communication skills with students and parents.

Schedule

Must be available at all or some of the following dates and times. Mondays from 5:45-8:15pm, Tuesdays from 3:45-8:15pm, Wednesdays from 5:45-8:15pm, Thursdays from 3:45-8:15pm and the occasional Saturday.

Swim Test

All Swim Instructor candidates will undergo to a two-part interview process. Step one, complete an interview. Step two complete an in-water swim test. Candidates will prove their swim ability and existing knowledge of stroke breakdown and drill usage.

Salary Description

Swim instructors start at $20.00/hr.
