Hello BRE Families,

This is Mr. Baxley, principal of Russell Elementary School, with an important message for parents and families. We are conducting a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We know that drills can cause possible concerns for our students, but we believe it’s important for them to know exactly what to do in an emergency and these practice drills enhance their safety. Again, all students are safe, and this is simply a required lockdown drill. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Reminder to kindergarten parents: if your child is a bus rider, a parent with an ID must meet the bus to pick up your child. If there is no one to pick them up they will be returned back to the school!
