Children's Character Club

Children's Character Club We are a locally owned licensed child care center serving children ages 12 months-11 years. We are open year round M-F from 5:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

We are a licensed child care facility in the community of Milton and the Fife-Milton school district. Mick and I have specialized qualities and education that enable us to design and implement a fantastic program that is unique in its ability to truly meet each child's physical, cognitive & emotional levels. The foundation of our program is that of CHARACTER EDUCATION. We believe that all children

inherently possess the traits of love, caring, respect for life, honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, justice, fairness, freedom and unity and that if we provide children with a program that TEACHES and PRACTICES these traits, they will grow to be positive members of this society. Using that as a foundation for our program allows us to go on and provide opportunities for children to grow and learn by challenging them with problem solving and higher level thinking skills as well as incorporate exposure in as many activities as possible that include creative movement/expression, music appreciation, nature and gardening, and cultural/societal awareness. We have complete and individualized programs in our toddler and preschool rooms and our school-age program includes before/after school as well as a comprehensive and FUN summer program!

We just met with Service Pro crew, and their was significant improvement in the moisture levels in the preschool and toddler rooms. The carpets are completely dry and the vinyl is 80% dry. We will be able to open the preschool and toddler rooms tomorrow with normal operating hours.
The school age room has to be reevaluated tomorrow morning to get a final evaluation of the vinyl to determine if it will need to be replaced. The carpet is going to be fine. So the school age program will be closed tomorrow unfortunately, and we will update the progress in the morning after moisture readings are taken.

I just met with Servicepro and they have to do some floor and wall samples, water extraction from the carpet and overnight drying. After talking with them we will not be able to open for business tomorrow. The school age room will be closed all week due to the need of flooring that most likely will need to be replaced. They are focusing on toddler and preschool first so that will be the focus of the rest of today and tomorrow.
We will continue to update as we can to keep everyone in the loop.

We have the vinyl floor all cleaned from the water line breakage and fans going in the preschool and toddler rooms for the carpet. We are waiting for Servicepro to come out and evaluate and do the additional cleanup in the kitchen and school age rooms. They will be able to test moisture in the rooms. We are hoping to reopen the preschool and toddler rooms tomorrow and the school age we will at best be limited to the vinyl flooring, but we can manage that for before and after.
We will post an update as soon as we have the evaluation from the professionals.

It is come to our intention that there are some issues around parking in our lot. The white striped area is a loading zone and should only have a vehicle there if the driver stays in the car so they can move it if there is a blocking problem. If the driver is leaving the car then you are parking and should use a parking spot. If all the spots are occupied please park behind the vans or by the dumpster to keep the lanes open.
