Life has a beautiful way of coming full circle. ❤️

As I prepare to retire, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey that education has given me. These two gentlemen were students in the very first 5th-grade class I taught at Orfordville Elementary when I began my career many years ago. I was a brand-new teacher, full of excitement, hope, and a few nerves.

Today, I am blessed to end my educational career as the principal of Milton West, where I have had the privilege of getting to know and serve their children. What an amazing gift it has been to watch one generation grow up and then welcome the next generation through our school doors.

Moments like these remind me that education is so much more than lessons and classrooms—it’s about relationships, families, and the lasting connections we build along the way.

My heart is full of gratitude for the students, families, and colleagues who have been part of this journey. What a wonderful way to close this chapter. ❤️

The Art Room has been a busy place these last few weeks! 🌸🎨

Our artists have been celebrating spring through some amazing creations, including Claude Monet-inspired ponds, Honey Bee Homes, warm and cool color strawberry patches, and a school-wide garden mural! 🌻🐝🍓

Today was a busy day at Milton West. The middle school jazz band performed for us and former West students who are graduating walked through the school as part of their annual tradition. So many memories!

🏕️🔥 What a FUN week wrapping up our camping adventure at Lil Hawk Learners! We explored the great outdoors by searching for bugs and beautiful flowers, gathered around our pretend campfires, enjoyed ooey gooey s’mores, and listened to camp stories with Ms. Jayme. 📚🐞🌼

From outdoor adventures to imaginative play, this week was filled with laughter, learning, fresh air, and so many special memories. We loved watching our little campers explore, create, and connect with one another all week long! ❤️
