2026-2027 Schedule Release ⏳ …

What an incredible experience for the Lady Jags as they spent the last 2 days at Troy University for a team camp. The varsity squad which only had 6 eligible players during this trip went 4-2 against some tough regional competition. The girls got a chance to learn from Troy Head Coach Chanda Rigby and her amazing staff. While on the court, the girls weren't given much break time with only 6 players but this was a way to build up that much needed endurance for those late in the season games when you just gotta find that little bit more - We are so proud of what they did on the court but even off the court this was a great lesson too as the girls got to take on a film study session and see how college coaches breakdown game film in order to improve.

Our coaches got some time with Coach Rigby as well in which they were able to connect about setting high goals and making a plan to reach them.

This girls basketball team camp at Troy was something that we looked forward to when planning our summer schedule and it exceeded even our own high expectations - we look to come back next year and we would highly recommend it to other high school programs.

Now - for a day off to get some rest before hitting the court again Friday for "Dribble to the Beat"

The Lady Jags were hard at work today in a shared practice with the Walton-Verona Bearcats from Kentucky. Great to be able to share our court with them and continue to learn and grow during our summer sessions.

Thanks to coach Rianna Gayheart for bringing her squad to Central today and we hope that you all have a safe and fun time on your trip around the Emerald Coast and back to your hometown.

We’re a little short-handed today with a few girls out, but our focus is clear: defense, defense and more defense. We spent today working solely on the defensive side of the game and building a solid foundation. Defense wins games, and we want to be tough, disciplined, and dependable.

We’re also thankful to be training at Chumuckla's gym. With no air conditioning, the heat definitely pushes us, but it’s helping us get into better shape and build the toughness and endurance we’ll need throughout the season. Every practice is an opportunity to get better together.

A few pics from our 2 days at the UWF team camp. We were missing a few players but we made the most out of this experience.

Next week our Lady Jags will be traveling to Troy, AL for the Troy University Team Camp. Over the 2 days there our girls will get a chance to work with Chanda Rigby and the Troy Women’s Staff.

Both our JV and Varsity teams will get a chance to play 6 games against various competition from AL and FL. There are also some situational style tournaments.
