Calling all King Middle School runners! 🐾💙 We have an exciting opportunity for our cross country athletes! KMS has been invited to participate in TWO preseason invitationals! 🎉

📍 Sim’s Middle School

🏁 GULF COAST STAMPEDE
📍 Escambia County Equestrian Center

⚠️ IMPORTANT PRESEASON INFORMATION:
These meets are NOT part of the official King Middle School Cross Country season/team.

🚗 Runners must have their own transportation to and from the meets.
⏱️ Runners must meet a qualifying time of 20 minutes or faster to participate.

📅 TRYOUTS: TUESDAY, AUGUST 25TH

✅ Permission slip and Rend of Care must be on file to participate.

⭐ Additional meet details will be shared with eligible participants after tryouts.

Calling all King Middle School runners! 💙💛 Our KMS Cross Country Tryouts are coming up on September 8th!

📣 COME PREPARED TO RUN!

✅ Permission slip and required medical paperwork must be on file
✅ Students must participate in tryouts to become a member of the KMS Cross Country Team
⭐ Expectations: Students must be in good standing with grades, attendance, and discipline.

🏃 Tryout Standards:
👧 Girls: 1.8 miles in 22 minutes
👦 Boys: 1.8 miles in 20 minutes

Returning runners—get those preseason miles in and come ready to RUN! We’re looking forward to another GREAT season of KMS Cross Country! 🐾

At King Middle School, we believe no student should have to go hungry during the school day. 💙

Our student food pantry helps provide meals and snacks for students who:
🍎 Forgot their lunch and don’t have money
🥪 Don’t have funds available in their lunch account
💙 May simply need a little extra support to get through the school day

We are asking our amazing King Middle School family, parents, community members, and local businesses to help us keep our pantry stocked!

We are accepting donations of:
🥫 Non-perishable foods
🍿 Individually packaged snacks
🥣 Breakfast items
🧃 Juice boxes and shelf-stable drinks
🍎 Granola bars, crackers, cereal, fruit cups, and other student-friendly items

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we can make sure our students have one less thing to worry about and can focus on learning. 📚❤️
