We foster the development of both tutors and students for the benefit of all. As a result, our students will receive the optimum tutoring experience.

Bay Area Tutoring Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit bringing together educators, tutors, parents, and volunteers who give time, talent, and resources to support the academic success of Bay Area homeless, foster, at risk, and justice engaged youth. The Bay Area Tutoring Association was born from the shared desire of tutors, parents, students, community members and business leaders to invest in the future prosperity of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. We strongly believe this can be accomplished through the development of an academic tutoring workforce, extended learning programs and services. What We Do

• We provide students, parents and schools access to trained, trustworthy and culturally sensitive academic tutors.
• We empower parents through parent engagement workshops to become better advocates for their students.
• We create innovative project based programs to compliment public, private and home school academic instruction. Our Promise
We will ensure that all of our tutor members are well trained, properly equipped and confident in their academic coaching and tutoring abilities. We will provide quality resources, professional training, best practices and engagement opportunities. We will foster a commitment to academic excellence (whatever that may be for the individual or group), social consciousness, family and community. For the next generation world leaders, first generation college-bound students and those academically at-risk, we provide the support foundation and opportunities they need to become life-longer learners. Every employee, contractor and volunteer affiliated with the Bay Area Tutoring Association will be expected to perform with integrity and adhere to ethical standards beyond reproach. What an incredible two days for the Bay Area Tutoring Association. 🎓

Our San Francisco and Alameda County summits brought together educators, district leaders, workforce partners, higher education, philanthropy, nonprofits, community organizations, and education innovators around one shared goal: building stronger pathways for students to succeed in school, career, and life.

Across both events, we explored the future of high impact tutoring, learning acceleration, MTSS, expanded learning, workforce development, AI, sustainable funding, and the power of cross sector collaboration.

More importantly, new relationships were built, ideas were shared, and conversations began that will continue far beyond these summits.

Thank you to every speaker, partner, sponsor, organization, and attendee who helped make both gatherings such a success.

Today, Chayne helps shape the future of high-impact tutoring through her work at NSSA, a program of Stanford University's SCALE Initiative. She leads the Tutoring Program Design Badging Process, contributes to nationally recognized resources on tutoring and AI, and works with educators, researchers, and policymakers to expand access to high-quality, evidence-based student support.
