Bricks 4 Kidz Bricks 4 Kidz® founded in St. Augustine, Florida in 2008 by former teacher, Michelle Cote. Ms. In the spring of 2009 Creative Learning Corporation was formed.

The mother of two elementary school students spent her days as an architect with a keen interest in working with children at the local school. While applying for approval for an after-school Spanish class, she noticed a category for “creative science” on the school’s application form. As her own children were LEGO® fans, she inquired about the possibility of creating a class based on students using LEGO® Bricks. She was approved for both Spanish and LEGO® lab, and created and distributed promotional flyers for both classes. When she had only three students sign up for the Spanish session and 35 for the LEGO® lab, she knew she had encountered something with significant potential. Cote began her first after school LEGO® lab in the spring of 2008 and called it Bricks 4 Kidz®. The demand for Bricks 4 Kidz® was so great and immediate that she expanded the program to over 12 schools in her first school year. The team began selling the concept that today can be found in 44 countries with over 600 franchises. “Our global exposure continues to expand every month with the universal interest in collaborative, intelligent options for children’s educational advancement,”

Our global network continues to grow, with new owners joining Bricks 4 Kidz across Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Poland, France, the Philippines, the USA and Canada.

Several have started their journey with multiple territories, bringing hands-on STEAM learning to even more children in their communities.

Every new owner gains access to 3,000 hours of proprietary STEM curriculum, comprehensive training and 90 days of hands-on launch support.

Today, Bricks 4 Kidz has more than 350 franchises across 55 countries.

We’re excited to welcome Gihani Jayawardana, who will be taking over the Bricks 4 Kidz Dandenong & Knox territory in Victoria.

Gihani brings more than 10 years of experience across medical radiology, education, training, and business partnerships. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation and creating meaningful learning opportunities for children.

As a mum herself, Gihani strongly believes in less screen time and more hands-on creativity. She looks forward to providing fun, high-quality activities in a screen-free learning environment while helping children develop essential STEM, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

We’re excited to welcome Dayane Barros and Helio Junior, the new Bricks 4 Kidz owners for Hope Island and Southport, Queensland.

This Brazilian-Australian family brings extensive experience across engineering, maritime operations, logistics, project management, and business.

Dayane studied Nautical Science and began her career in the Brazilian Navy before moving into commercial shipping, coastal resilience, environmental projects, and community engagement. Helio has a background in logistics and the Brazilian Merchant Navy, together with many years of experience running his own business and working in boating, yacht management, and marine operations.

Inspired by their two boys’ love of building, Dayane and Helio are excited to bring creative, hands-on STEM experiences to local children and build strong relationships with schools, families, and organisations across the Gold Coast.

Join us at The National Franchise Show in Toronto on September 19 and 20.

Current Bricks 4 Kidz franchise owners Valarie Groves from Hamilton, Kanika Gulati from Guelph, and Jerry Parchman from Orlando, Florida, will be at Booth 434–436. They will share firsthand insights into running their territories, delivering programs in their communities, and what the day-to-day experience of franchise ownership is really like.

We’re excited to welcome Dean Rogut and Jodie Rogut, our new Bricks 4 Kidz owners serving Frankston & Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.

Dean brings 20 years of experience in community services, beginning his career as a youth worker and later working across health, training, and management. Jodie is a Scout leader with experience in swim teaching and management.

As parents with an extensive LEGO brick collection of their own, Dean and Jodie understand how hands-on building can foster creativity, build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and encourage social connection.

They are excited about the possibilities of STEAM education and giving young people more opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences.
