Our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate our new 3,800 sq-ft childcare facility addition was a huge success!!

The YOU Board and Camryn's Clubhouse Team were fortunate to have representatives at the event from ND Dept of Commerce, city officials, representatives from some of our local donors, ND Dept of Health & Human Services and Childcare Aware to name a few.

Thank you to the City of Milnor for the beautiful congratulation flowers and to our local Dakota Dirt for donating their delicious coffee!!

We might be biased, but we sure do have one of the best communities!! Without the support from everyone and in all forms, this childcare center wouldn't be possible!!

Youth Opportunity Unlimited, Inc. Celebrates Grand Opening of Childcare Expansion in Milnor
Milnor, ND – Youth Opportunity Unlimited, Inc. (YOU) proudly celebrated the grand opening of its 3,800-square-foot expansion at Camryn’s Clubhouse with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 28. The event brought together community members, state leaders, and local supporters to mark a major milestone for childcare access in the region.
The celebration featured remarks from Workforce Director Katie Ralston Howe, who joined the YOU team and partners in recognizing the importance of expanding childcare capacity to meet workforce needs.
“This project showcases the strength of partnership,” said Workforce Director Katie Ralston Howe. “By aligning local leadership and state programs to aid working families, we create widespread benefits. This expansion supports parents in participating in the workforce and contributes to stronger community development.”
The project was made possible through funding from the North Dakota Regional Workforce Impact Program (RWIP), a program offered by Commerce, along with generous support from local partners including the Milnor Housing Authority, Milnor Community Foundation, Bison Booster Club of Milnor, ND, and the Bobcat Company.
The expansion will allow Camryn’s Clubhouse to serve more families in Milnor and surrounding communities, increasing both childcare availability and economic opportunity.
“This day was full of joy, gratitude, and hope for the future,” said Nichole Kadoun, President of Youth Opportunity Unlimited, Inc. “We’re deeply thankful to every organization and individual who helped make this vision a reality. Today was about opening more doors for children and families.”
The open house welcomed community members to tour the new space, connect with staff, and learn more about YOU’s mission to provide nurturing, high-quality care for the region’s youngest learners.
YOU's purpose is to support growth and learning for children and youth in the community thru childcare services and activities for children. YOU’s mission specific to childcare services is to provide a safe, secure, nurturing environment that is an affordable, convenient and dependable service to our families.

**YOU Inc. is BREAKING GROUND**

Ground breaking and construction has begun on the new addition to Camryn’s Clubhouse, the childcare center and preschool in Milnor. Participants at the groundbreaking were Youth Opportunity Unlimited, Inc. Board of Directors; Nichole Kadoun, Tanner Martinson, Bryce Hogness, LuAnn Ellefson, Alexis Nadler, Danielle Hogness, owner of Camryn’s Clubhouse, the childcare business, and Carol Peterson, Economic Developer for the City of Milnor.

YOU, Inc. was established in 2014 as a 501 (c)3 nonprofit corporation to develop a solution to the critical lack of daycare in the Milnor community. With the support of the entire Milnor community, a 5,000 square foot structure was built and opened to meet the childcare needs of the area. The YOU, Inc. board leases the facility to Danielle Hogness of Camryn’s Clubhouse for the daycare, after-school child care, and summer programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years old.

This new 3,800 square foot addition to the building will complement the existing structure by adding classrooms, bathrooms, office, laundry and a mechanical room. Improvements and changes will also be made to the existing kitchen and baby room. The board has been working diligently since 2021 planning the additional space to allow more families access to childcare in our area. Construction will proceed throughout the spring and summer with plans to open the new facility by September.

YOU, Inc. received federal grant funds from the State of North Dakota Workforce Impact Program for a portion of the project. With this grant, YOU, Inc. was required to have guaranteed community funds up front. The YOU Board of Directors would like to thank The Milnor Community Housing, Milnor Community Foundation and the Milnor Bison Boosters who were all key contributors to allowing YOU to accept the grant. The YOU Board would also like to thank everyone who has given donations towards this project and continues to donate. Regional data, as well as childcare waiting lists for the last several years have shown a great need for additional daycare and preschool openings. All the donations received will help build the structure and the additional playground that is needed. YOU, Inc. continues to fundraise for this project and anyone wishing to help can send donations to the YOU at PO Box 5, Milnor, ND.
