What an amazing first day for our Jets!
Thank you to all of our families for your patience during arrival and dismissal today. The first few days always take a little extra time as everyone learns routines, and your kindness truly helps our students start the year with confidence.
We loved seeing all those bright smiles this morning—here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Hello Jets families, this is Principal Kristi from Rieck Avenue School.

Due to the weather, we are cancelling today’s Chalk the Walk event. We will reschedule it for another date so our students still get that colorful, joyful welcome they deserve.

We are very excited for the first day of school tomorrow and want to share a few reminders to help arrival run smoothly.

If you are arriving by car, please use School Drive. Car arrival is from 8:55 to 9:10 AM.

If you are walking, please walk along School Drive and enter through the side music room doors. There will be signs directing walkers.

If you are a kindergarten parent, you may walk your child to their classroom on the first day if you choose. We ask that you please wait to arrive until after 9:00 AM, once buses have dropped off students. After the buses leave the front two parking areas, you will be permitted to park and enter through the front doors.

Please remember to be patient during arrival and dismissal over the first few days. The process always takes a little longer as we get to know our students and help everyone settle in.

We can’t wait to welcome all of our Jets tomorrow for an amazing first day of school.

One week until takeoff! Our incredible Rieck Avenue teachers and co‑pilots have been working hard behind the scenes. Planning, prepping, organizing, decorating, and making sure every classroom is ready for an amazing 2026–2027 school year.

Be on the lookout for an email with our first school newsletter of the year, filled with all the info you’ll need as we head into opening week.

And don’t forget to sign up/check your Parent Portal to see who your child’s teacher will be. Our crew is excited and ready to welcome you aboard.

We can’t wait to see everyone soon. Jets, prepare for takeoff!
