📢 Reminder for Millville Families! 📢

All Millville Public Schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope all of our students, staff, and families enjoy a safe, relaxing, and wonderful long weekend! ☀️

Classes and normal office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th. 🎒📚

Millville Public Schools is deeply grateful to three local organizations for their amazing generosity in supporting our students and staff:

🎒 True North Church for donating 300 brand-new backpacks to help our students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

📒 Innovation Foods for providing essential school supplies to our students at Lakeside Middle School.

🛍 Fusion Church for delivering amazing goodie bags to shower our hardworking staff at Silver Run Elementary School with appreciation.

It truly takes a village, and we are so blessed to have such supportive partners standing behind our schools. Thank you for making a real difference in the lives of our district family! ⚡️💙

🎉 Welcome Back, Bolts Nation! ⚡️📚

While our students officially filled the hallways with energy for the first day of school today, our incredible staff was hard at work earlier this week laying the groundwork for an amazing year ahead!

We kicked off our district-wide Staff Opening Day with a high-energy welcome from the Millville High School Bolts cheerleaders and Marching Thunderbolts drumline 🥁📣, followed by a delicious donut treat courtesy of the MEA 🍩. We also welcomed MHS student Sereniti Washington to lead us in the national anthem.

Our Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Matt Mazzoni, delivered an inspiring keynote highlighting our past achievements, the incredible work completed over the summer, and a warm celebration of our new hires and promoted team members! 🌟

We were also honored to hear uplifting messages from:
🎓 Senior Class President Jah'Mya Harden
📋 Board of Education President Dr. Kim Carty
🏛️ District Legends Dr. Ed Salmon & Mr. Tony Surace, who shared words of wisdom and classic memories as we prepare to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Olympic Day this year! 🏅

The next chapter begins at Lakeside Middle School! 🌊📚

Last week, we welcomed our rising 6th graders for orientation! Students got a firsthand look at middle school life and learned about what the year has in store for them.

Transitioning to middle school is a big milestone, but our Lightning staff and student mentors made sure everyone felt confident, supported, and ready to shine. Welcome to Lakeside. We’re so proud to have you here! ⚡️🎒

Last week, Millville High School opened its doors for Freshman Orientation, inviting the newest Bolts to learn all about life as high school students.

A huge thank you to the administrators, faculty, and student volunteers for making our freshmen feel right at home. We are so excited to see all the amazing things this class will accomplish over the next four years. Let’s make it a great year! 🎓🏫✨
