We would like to thank our neighbors and friends Millvale Market, Abeille Voyante Tea Co, Be Our Neighbor (Millvale Community Development Corporation), Cousin's Lounge, Lemon Tree for supporting our fundraiser with Jules through raffle basket donations!

We would also like to thank our friends at Millvale Community Library for hosting an info booth and to the Borough of Millvale for use of their community center.

Thank you to Jules for sharing their joy, talent, empathy, and MAD SKILLZ to our community!

And to all 400 attendees who joined us!

Ms Gabi joins You Be You as our Administrator! Formally she has a bachelors degree in middle and highschool math education from Geneva college. This allowed for a wide range of teaching experience including training in meeting the needs of a diverse group of students. She is very excited to be back in a position that allows her to help grow the children in her community again.

Informally Ms Gabi spent many summers as a sleep away camp counselor for ages 6-17 up in the Catskills. In the 10+ years living in Pittsburgh she has volunteered her time with various youth programs and care needs. You probably started seeing her around You Be You over the last year filling in roles as needed before coming on board officially. Ms Gabi also can be found as a favorite childcare sitter of some of our Millvale kiddos.

Her professional life found Ms Gabi spending much of her time at different local and international tech companies in various industries, primarily focussing on Product and Project Management. This is where her superpowers come in handy for our school! She will be working with Mx Georgia and the other teachers to keep things organized and running smoothly. A lot will be behind the scenes but you will start hearing more from her in the coming months.

When not behind a computer Ms Gabi likes to crochet all sort of things but especially loves making toys. You likely have seen her doing this in the lobby or on the stoop of our school. If not it’s likely you or your child have gotten to play with the fidget toys or the rhythm derps. It’s very unlikely to find her out around town without a project bag at her side. She also enjoys playing guitar and ukulele around the house, playing video games, or crushing her partner, Mr Derek, at magic the gathering.
