Hi All, I hope that you have had a great summer.
I want to let you know that LBWP will have a table at this Saturday's EARTH Center Open House and NJ Folkfest.

The EARTH Center is at Davidsons Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave, South Brunswick, NJ. 08902
It will take place from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership and the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership are very thankful to Dr. Anne Garaibeh for providing a stimulating presentation about her work on enhancing blue and green infrastructure in her home county of Jordan. We all really enjoyed it, and it provoked some good conversation. It was also great for our two organizations to co-host this event. We hope to join up for more in the future! We also wish Dr. Gharaibeh a safe return to Jordan and success in her projects with her students and stakeholders. See pictures below.

LBWP's May 9 Farrington Lake Clean-up.

Our event was a success, removing several bags of litter and trash from Bicentennial Park, Hardenburg Lane Bridge, and Church Lane Bridge. Turnout was hampered by the threatening weather, but the rain held out. We had 10 volunteers in all: Alan, Michael, Sally, Steve, Liz, Anna, Oliver, Nettie, Barbara and Karen. Here are a couple pics. We'll have another clean-up in the fall and other activities in between. We hope to see you at one of them!

EARTH Center Garden, Arts, and Folk Festival

LBWP will be exhibiting at the EARTH Center Garden, Arts, and Folk Festival, August 23 10 AM to 4 PM. The event takes place at Davidsons Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave, South Brunswick. Saturday's clean-up was fun and a success!

After a little rain in the beginning, we got out to Washington Place and picked up 7 bags of garbage and recyclables. Barbara W. picked up a bag's worth at the Church Lane Bridge and Liz P. also joined us. Stay tuned for our next activity!

Though a windy day, Milltown's Earth Day Cleanup and Fair on May 10 was a success! We joined many other tables in providing environmental info for the community. There was music, games, Kayaking, tours of Schwendeman's Taxidermy, etc.

Our next event will be a clean-up of the Farrington Lake area, scheduled for May 31. More info to come soon.

Great Water Wheels bicycle ride today. Beautiful weather, great group, route, group, and pace, refreshments, too! Thanks to all of you who took part.
