The Hudson Oaks City Council and staff would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Schrick family on the passing of former Hudson Oaks Alderman, Keith Schrick.

Keith was a founding member of our community long before the city was officially incorporated. His dedication and vision were integral to the creation of Hudson Oaks and he proudly served as an Alderman on the first City Council both during and after the city's incorporation in 1978.

Keith's fierce loyalty to his family, passion for giving back to his community and his unwavering support for local businesses shaped the heart of our city. For over 50 years, Keith, Dana and the Schrick family have been pillars of Hudson Oaks, and his legacy will forever remain a part of our shared history.

As of Tuesday, May 21st I formally resigned from the Millsap ISD School Board.

I would like to apologize to everyone who voted me into the role for not being able to fulfill the term. My resignation was not a decision made lightly. It came with a tremendous amount of consideration, thought, and discussion with my family. At the end of the day, the decision to resign was best personally. I hope you can understand and respect that.

Serving on the board was overshadowing the good I know is in the classrooms of MISD and I’m choosing to focus on the positives. I will continue to volunteer my time where I can; however, it will be in the capacity of a parent first and foremost. After all, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents.
