Hello Students and Families!
The Technology Team has been very busy with two projects this summer, and we want to let you know of the impact they have on student accounts and school communications.
1. Single Sign-On (SSO) and Google access - On July 27th and 28th, students may not have access to their Google account. This is because the district is setting up Single Sign-On (SSO), which is something that will streamline how students log into their digital learning applications, including Google. Please see the attached document for important information about this! When a student goes to log into their Millis Google account, they will be redirected to the SSO login page. Directions for how to login are on the attached Doc: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wcq1bGFsPcyg1bjqyQtwoYzZz0yRffnF/view?usp=sharing
2. Communications through text messages from Millis Schools - On July 26th at 11:00 am, families will receive an invitation to opt into receiving text communications from Millis Schools. The text comes from the same system that we use to send out school messages and newsletters. The attached document includes information about opting into receiving text messages from Millis Schools. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FYkeUizb1Go38ibpjpyjlrudFTHsv661/view?usp=sharing
The invitation is being sent out to cell phone numbers that we have in our Student Information System (PowerSchool). If you do not receive a text invitation on the 26th, please make sure that we have your correct cell phone number in our records by completing the attached form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc6gPVvYNvE1pzbaCn8Ywo5-ZRpQUcZmfxkFnjcEvRK2rOY1Q/viewform?usp=sf_link
You may also download the free School Messenger App on your phone or tablet and manage your text settings and preferences in the app.
If you have any questions about either project, please contact Jennifer Starr, Director of Digital Learning and Technology [email protected] 508-376-7000.
