Make a Difference in Our Village – Join the Village Council!
Are you passionate about the future of the Village of Millington? Do you want to help shape our community? We are seeking a dedicated resident to fill the current vacancy with the Village Council. Term will be until November 20, 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to engage in public service, contribute your perspective, and help guide local decision-making on important issues like public safety, infrastructure, and community events.

We are looking for a dedicated Village of Millington resident and registered voter. Individuals that are interested in serving their community’s interests, mission and values.
People with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Applicants must not be in default to the Village.

Council members are elected officials who represent the community’s interests, participate in setting local policy, approve budgets, and attend regular council meetings and special sessions.

How to Apply:
If you’re ready to serve, please submit a letter of interest by December 3, 2025 4:00 pm to the Village Clerk. Please include relevant background information (residence, employment history, volunteer work etc.) and why you would like to serve your community.

The Village DPW has been receiving multiple Miss Dig requests. We just wanted to let everyone know that there will be flags throughout town, so if you have some appear in your yard, TDS Telecom will be upgrading their lines to fiber optics.

Trick or Treating hours: Friday October 31, 2025 from 6-7:30 pm. As you all know, there is also a football game. When the date & time were set, there was no football game scheduled. The Council discussed it and it was to late to change the venue and be able to contact everyone. (Not everyone uses social media.) So everyone, please come together and lets make sure that our little ghouls, goblins and power rangers are all safe and Let's Go Cardinals!!!

Village of Millington Online Apparel Store - get your sweatshirt or t-shirt now with the new Village logo! Limited time only, so don't delay!! Store will be open until October 6, 2025 and proceeds will go for a new PA system in the downtown area for parades and events!

Don't forget!! FIT public forum is tonight at the Millington Community Center. Registration begins at 5:30 pm. If you did not pre-register, you may do so at the door. Please join us for pizza and refreshments and learn what first-time visitors have to say about our Village, strengths and weaknesses...This program will help the Village make future plans for the community.

Notice: Thursday Sept 25, the intersection of Main St and M15 will be temporarily closed to replace the patchwork with asphalt.
Friday Sept 26, the Village parking lot will be repaved. Please call the office at 989-871-2702 before coming up to ensure it is open.

Monday September 29, the Village will have a FIT (First Impression Tourism) public forum at the community center at 6pm. All are welcome, if you haven’t preregistered, registration at the door starts at 5:30. There will be free pizza, baked goods and refreshments available. Please join us in learning what first time visitors to the Village and surrounding area think our communities strengths and weaknesses are. Come help us plan for a better tomorrow.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS TOURISM (FIT) ASSESSMENT Community Event
When: September 29, 2025 5:30 pm registration, 6-8:00 pm program
Where: Millington Community Center 8705 State Rd Millington, MI 48746

What is the FIT Program? The Village of Millington signed up and was awarded this opportunity to have 5 sets of people come into town and give their first impressions so that the Village could see through non-biased eyes what the strengths and weaknesses are in town and surrounding areas. We will take the suggestions and ideas and create a plan for the future. At this public forum, the MSU extension will present the results to Community leaders and residents. All are invited to attend.

Friday August 1, 2025 - The Village Office will be closed for sewer line repair. You can still access the drop box but you will have to park on the street and walk up!

Water shut offs will not happen until Monday August 4th.

Come down to Depot Street tonight to experience The Bob Seager Experience performed by ShakeDown! Music in Millington is here July 10th, 17th & 24th from 5:30 pm - 9 pm! Bring a chair, kick back and relax while enjoying a tribute to Bob Seager! This event is being hosted by the Millington Chamber of Commerce, funded by the Kaiser Foundation and the help of lots of volunteers! Come join the fun!! Located in the Depot Street Parking lot, across from the library! Next week on the 17th will be our very own Waylon Hanel and the 24th will be an Elvis tribute! Thank you to the Kaiser Foundation for funding these events and to the Millington Chamber of Commerce for bringing it all together and to all the volunteers that will be helping!

It was brought to our attention that someone is calling around asking for donations for the Millington Police Department because they are trying to raise money for bullet proof vests. THIS IS A SCAM! The Millington Police are not raising money for anything and would not hire a marketing company to call people.
