In July our IELP students took time to reflect, through art and storytelling, on their home country and what brings them hope in their new life.
The beauty of the Immerse campus offered inspiration as students explored themes of growth, renewal, and new beginnings, drawing from the vibrant summer nature surrounding them.

As we celebrated the end of another session, we also celebrated the distinguished service of our faculty member, Alice Lauver, who retired at the end of this session.
Thank you, Alice, for your faithful investment in our students and in the entire Immerse community. We are deeply grateful for you and wish you every blessing in this new chapter!

So glad to have this great group of students from McCaskey High School as part of our Summer session! It's a privilege to support such gifted, hard-working young people — and to partner with the Future Ready Center at McCaskey to help equip a new generation of leaders.

So grateful for Mennonite Life volunteers who blessed us with their time and energy, weeding and mulching our grounds to make sure guests and residents could have a safe place to pray and find peace.
"The Home was a progressive venture, dedicated to caring for the needy and homeless children long before the establishment of state welfare agencies and public assistant programs. The Home predated the Lancaster County Children's Bureau by more than forty-five years."
Nancy Witmer wrote the history of the Mennonite Children's Home of Millersville in 1984. The Children's Home was constructed in 1911. Today, the grounds are home to Immerse International (formerly the Millersville International House). With a dedicated staff, they welcome international students and immigrants from all over the world, providing English-language teaching, student housing, and large garden plots.
Today, Mennonite Life staff held a volunteer day working in their Prayer Garden; weeding and mulching to make sure guests and residents could have a safe place to pray and find peace.

Got to celebrate these two lovely ladies' birthday this week during English class.
"I thought this would be the worst day, since it's my first birthday apart from my family. But now I see that you are my family."
So grateful to be a part of the Immerse community.
