The voting for the Best of 2013 What's Up Annapolis is open, and there is a chance to vote for the Watershed Stewards Academy as the best local nonprofit! The online voting can be accessed at this link. There are many pages to go through to vote, but the Local Nonprofit category is on page 4 of the poll.

Gingerville Community Association and Master Watershed Stewards working with the neighborhood were just awarded the Eco Star Award from the Volunteer Center of Anne Arundel County for their riparian rain garden project. Way to go! Thanks to John Summers, Ray Sullivan, Alyssa Domzal and Sue Dupont for working so hard to slow down and filter polluted runoff!

This year’s Volunteer Project Hall of Fame Celebration will be held on November 10, 2011. Capital One Bank will host this event at the Yellowfin Restaurant in Edgewater, Maryland.
