EVOLUTION TRAINING ASSESSMENTS
SCOUTING REPORT: GATLIN
Position: Hitter
Date: 8/20/26
Location: Evolution Lab

OVERVIEW
We got Gatlin back in the lab today for front toss and it was another impressive, unbelievable session. He continues to impress us at each session with the way he competes and grows.

SESSION PERFORMANCE
Front Toss PR: Gatlin set a new exit velocity PR in front toss today.
Exit Velo: 60.1 mph — new personal record.
Distance: Close to 150 feet on the PR ball.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
Stacking Days: He continues to stack quality sessions and build momentum every time he’s in.
Mental + Physical Growth: Showing consistent growth mentally and physically with each session.
Work Ethic: Keeps showing up and producing. The intent and focus are always there.

DEVELOPMENT FOCUS
Maintain Extension: Keep working through the baseball to maximize that 60.1 mph exit velo and turn it into consistent 150+ foot distance.
Hip/Core Connection: Continue building rotational efficiency so the bat speed plays every swing.
Recovery: Manage workload between sessions so we can keep stacking PRs without regression.

WHAT’S NEXT
We’ll be waiting by the phone to see if we get a call for another workout this weekend. Goal is to keep building on today’s 60.1 mph PR and ride this momentum.

COACHING NOTE
Overall, an unbelievable session for Gatlin. Super proud of the way he continues to grow mentally and physically. The progress is real and it’s showing up in the data.

Great job tonight, Gatlin. We can’t wait to see you again.

EVOLUTION TRAINING ASSESSMENT
SCOUTING REPORT: JAYDEN
Position: RHP
Date: 8/17/26
Location: Evolution Lab

OVERVIEW
Really good session for Jayden tonight. The focus was all about lower half stability and posture on the mound so he can hold his line and throw with less effort.

Velo was solid for where he’s at mechanically. Really excited about the upside once we clean up a few key pieces. He’s got a clear path to sitting in the low 50s going into winter training.

PITCHING MECHANICS

Current Velocity
Consistent: Sat right around 49-50 mph all night
Topped Out: 50 mph

Strengths
Compete Level: Throwing with intent and attacking.
Coachable: Taking in the adjustments and applying them.

Development Focus
Back Knee Stability: Jayden has a habit of sinking on his back knee. That makes him push and fall glove side.
Stay Closed Longer: We need his knee to rotate against the back knee so he can stay closed longer through foot strike.
Plant + Stabilize: When he plants, that back side has to stabilize instead of collapsing.
Glove Action: Finish by tucking the mitt better. Utilizing less of his shoulders in the throw.
Posture: With better stability + glove tuck, he’ll get in better positioning and use less energy to throw.

Why It Matters
Cleaning up the backside stops the energy leak. That gives him better direction, better posture, and more velo without having to work harder.

NEXT STEPS
Lower Half Drills: Rotate against the back knee and stabilize at landing.
Glove Tuck: Train the mitt to tuck instead of flying open to take stress off the shoulders.
Efficiency: Less push, more rotation = more velo with less effort.

PROJECTION
Jayden is right there. 49-50 mph consistently now with mechanical leaks to clean up. Once the back knee stabilizes and he stops sinking, we’ll see that velo tick up. Low 50s this winter is very realistic.

SUMMARY
Great session overall for Jayden. Sat 49-50 mph consistently tonight and made progress on the things that matter long term. Focus is backside stability, staying closed, and glove tuck to improve posture and efficiency.

Excited for Jayden and can’t wait to keep building.
