If you've been part of the SBA family for any length of time, chances are you already know Mr. Watson! This year, we're excited to have him serving SBA in a new capacity as our part-time Academic Dean.
In this role, Mr. Watson will work with students on their class schedules and post-high school plans while also supporting and overseeing SBA's faculty. He is also the Lead Pastor at the Community Church of St. Lawrence.
Originally from southern Maryland, Mr. Watson was drawn to Christian education through God's leading and has spent many years serving students through Christian schools and ministry.
When he's not working, he enjoys reading, traveling to historic sites and national parks, photography, cheering on the Baltimore Orioles, and learning. (In fact, he actually likes going to school!) He holds degrees in Political Science, Theology, Biblical Studies, Educational Leadership, American History, and an Educational Specialist degree.
A Bible verse that has been especially meaningful to him is Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
We're grateful for Mr. Watson's leadership and are excited for the impact he'll have in this new role at SBA!
