Jenkins County Elementary School would like to thank the Millen Rotary Club for recognizing our Jenkins County Schools Teachers of the Year!

We are especially proud of our own JCES Teacher of the Year — Mr. Hayward Johnson! Today Mr. Johnson shared what inspired him to become an educator. It is our honor to have him represent JCES!

We would also like to congratulate Mrs. JoBeth Johnson — JCMS Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Sylvia Cup — JCHS Teacher of the Year!

What a treat for our Jenkins County students today! Fresh, local muscadines from Linda Newton at Ogeechee Peaches on the serving line at lunch! So many students tried muscadines for the very first time today, and others were excited to see them on the menu. Love seeing our kids get excited about fresh fruits and veggies! 🍇💙 🦅
