Our BHS student leaders did an incredible job welcoming the Class of 2030 during Freshman Orientation! πŸ‘

Members of Student Council and other student representatives helped lead tours, share their experiences, and introduce incoming freshmen to the many opportunities available at Baldwin High Schoolβ€”including sports, clubs, organizations, and CTAE pathways.

Future Braves also heard from Dr. Griffeth and Dr. Coats about academic and behavioral expectations as they begin preparing for their high school journey.

We are proud of the leadership shown by our current students and excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to the BHS family this August! β€οΈπŸ–€

Our Freshmen Academy scholars and the BHS Student Council had the opportunity to visit the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta! Students experienced powerful, interactive exhibits highlighting the Civil Rights Movement, explored global human rights issues, and participated in immersive simulations that brought history to life. What a positive way to close out Black History Month!

This trip was earned. Students qualified by passing all classes, having zero behavior referrals this semester, and maintaining fewer than three tardies. We are incredibly proud of their commitment to academic excellence, positive behavior, and personal responsibility.

Our students didn’t just learn about history β€” they experienced it. β€οΈπŸ–€

πŸŽΆπŸ“š Learning that moves!
Mrs. Tucker and Ms. Davis' students participated in a gallery walk analyzing song lyrics to identify figurative language and sound devices. Working in pairs and small groups, they collaborated, discussed, and stayed fully engaged β€” all while making meaningful connections to the text. Love seeing learning come alive outside the classroom! πŸ’‘

🎯 Growing Strong Minds at BHS! πŸ§ β€οΈπŸ–€

Last week, Coach Parham’s health classes welcomed Sucheta Kamath, owner and creator of ExQ Infinite know how , for an inspiring session on executive function β€” the mental skills that help students plan, focus, and achieve their goals.

Through the EXQ program, our students are learning to take charge of their learning, build self-awareness, and strengthen their ability to think, organize, and adapt. It’s not always easy β€” growth rarely is β€” but the results are powerful.

At our BHS Freshman Academy, we’re helping our students become not just better learners, but better people! πŸ’ͺπŸŽ“
