๐ณ๏ธ๐ค STUDENT VOICES. STUDENT LEADERS. BRAVE FUTURES. ๐ดโซ
Today, Baldwin High Schoolโs Freshmen Academy hosted its 2nd Annual Freshmen Academy Town Hall, giving our students an opportunity to experience leadership, public speaking, and decision-making firsthand!
Students running for Freshmen Class Senator took the stage to deliver campaign speeches explaining why they believed they were the best choice to represent their classmates. ๐๏ธ๐
But the challenge didnโt stop there! Following the speeches, candidates participated in an open forum, where their peers asked on-the-spot questions that required them to think quickly, communicate clearly, and confidently share their ideas. ๐ญ๐ฃ๏ธ
After hearing from the candidates, Freshmen Academy students cast their votes. ๐ณ๏ธ
๐ Congratulations to our newly selected student leaders!
โญ Class Senators: Aubree Harper & Kayson Kitchens
โญ Freshmen Academy Class Representative: James Meeks
These students will work closely with administrators, teachers, and their peers to help ensure that the voices and perspectives of Baldwin High School students are heard. โค๏ธ๐ค
A special thank-you goes to our BHS Student Council sponsors, Mr. Washington and Mrs. Lester-Johnson, as well as Freshmen Academy Principal Dr. Griffeth, for the time, planning, and dedication that went into providing students with a fair and meaningful Town Hall and election experience.
Congratulations to all of the students who had the courage to step forward, speak in front of their peers, answer tough questions, and pursue a leadership opportunity. That alone is something to be proud of! ๐๐พ๐ฏ
Itโs a Great Day to Be a Brave! โค๏ธ๐ค
